More than 30 new species were recorded in the wood in 2016, most of them fungi but the largest a tree!
The fungi included the first ever UK recording of Hyalorbilia Lunata, discovered by Sussex Fungus Group.
We also recorded a less welcome fungi, Hymenoscyphus fraxineus, Chalara or ash dieback, which will fundamentally alter the ecology of the wood.
